As you get to know your way around Symons Valley , you’ll discover there are lots of ways to get involved and use your skills to support our ministries. The following are a few possible ways to volunteer.

From Family Ministry Programs to behind the scenes, we rely on volunteers. We are always looking for people interested in tech support (sound, computer, camera), greeting, ushering, and providing coffee and tea, to name a few areas. If you would like to help, contact the office.

If you would like to help our Kid’s Club Sunday morning or support our Family Ministry events, we may have a role for you. To maintain a safe environment, volunteers and staff in a position of trust with anyone who is vulnerable, including children and youth, go through a screening process, including a police records check.

We host several events throughout the year and need volunteers to help with set up, clean up, food help, dishes, greeting, leading small group activities, sound and video, etc. These events include Trunk or Treat, Joy – Our Advent Celebration, Community Easter Egg Hunt, wider church events, meals and more. Before each event, sign-up sheets will be available at our welcoming table, or you can call the church office to find out our current needs.

Symons Valley United Church is a large building, and something always needs attention… anything from testing emergency lights and replacing bulbs and batteries to painting to small repairs. We have a job for you!
