During the summer months the children’s program continues to offer engaging and exciting activites during worship time. Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:30am.
Year end reports encapsulate the year that has just past – celebrating all that has taken place. It may seem odd for me to do this as I only started in April. However, in my short time at Symons Valley I can see that there is much to celebrate! In an effort to keep this short, let me give you the top three celebrations from the wonderful world of Sunday School.
First, the amazing teachers and volunteers who work tirelessly to make sure that we have a stimulating, nurturing environment for the children each and every week. In my short time at the church, it has been my absolute pleasure to work with these folks!
Second, we started using a new curriculum this past fall in both the red and green rooms. I’m happy to say that the new curriculum has been so successful that we have decided that in the fall we will roll it out in the blue room as well!
Third, we are a growing church, so Sunday School is hopping! We have had a lot of children take part in the program this past year and if initial estimates are correct, it looks like we can expect the same next year. Success is a good problem to have! However, to help Sunday School continue to offer the same high quality programming that we have experienced in the past, we may need more “in class” help from the parents in order to assist our amazing teachers. Watch for more on this as we get closer to the fall. That’s all from me for now. Again, thank you all for making this past year such a success.
