Join us every Sunday at 10:30 AM for Worship. Worship is central to our community. Each Sunday, we pray and sing together and explore the teachings of Jesus. Worship is our time to connect with our Creator God, called by the spirit and support our ongoing church ministry and beyond.
Whether you’re young, old, single, part of a family, identify as gay, straight, bi-sexual, trans-gender, queer, two-spirit, or beyond, know that you’re wholeheartedly embraced in our community. At Symons Valley United Church, we believe that all people are sacred in the eyes of God, welcome at God’s table, and entitled to full and equal participation in the life of the church. What happens in a typical service?
We Gather
We’re a community filled with friendly people. During the service, we take a few moments to greet one another. We call it ‘passing the peace.’
We Sing
Music is a huge part of our Sunday service. You can join in and sing along (the words are on large screen) or sit back and enjoy.
We Listen
Each Sunday, there is a message. It’s usually about 20 minutes long and is designed to inspire and encourage you for your week ahead.
We Build Community
After worship, we continue to break bread together during coffee or one of our many meals following church.
